Is this Hardeware Compatible

Okay, this is my first build and I wanted to make sure that all of the stuff I have picked out is compatable. Also if anyone has any suggestions for better items please post it. I plan on using this PC mainly for basic stuff (Internet, Office, Music, ect)but would like it to be able to run some of the newer games, however I want to keep the price $1300 or less. Right now I really just need a basic comp since my laptop finally craped out on me. Later on I will probably upgrade the graphics card and maybe change the cpu. I have a monitor, speakers, OS, ect. just need the hardware for in the tower. Here is what I've picked out:

Also I just now thought maybe I should add another hard drive. So could I get two of the Seagate and put them in together without much hassle? I see that the hard drive is OEM, are there and cables I'll need to get it hook it up?

Welcome to PCMech. Your parts list is fairly solid, I have only a few suggestions.

Cooler Master power supplies are 'ok' but if you want some headroom to upgrade your video card later on, this Corsair is a fantastic choice: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139001

If you're using Windows XP, 4GB is overkill. XP can only recognize 3.2GB. Stick with 2GB for now, it will be plenty.

Check out the Seagate 320GB drives. They have a nice GB/$ ratio. You can put two together no problem. Your motherboard will come with some SATA cables to hook up the drives.

Very True, but I would suggest you get Vista 64-Bit. Then the 4GBs is well...beautiful.

Alot of people recommend waiting on vista for a bit. It's still got some flakiness issues that should be worked out once they release the first service pack.....wait 'till then to upgrade. Very little will actually need 4 GB of ram right now anyway.....

Thanks a lot I appriciate the help. I like the idea of switching to the corsair psu for the headroom. And I will probalby go with the bigger hard drive. I allready have XP otherwise I would switch to Vista, but for now the keep the cost down I'll keep XP. I thought 4 gigs might be over kill so I think I'll switch to doubledragon's suggestion.

One more question though, the specs for the mem are 4-4-4-12 and the mobo supporst 5-5 or 6-6. I read in the review that the memory should work with the 5-5 timing but some people said they had to change the timing. Wanted to know if I will have to do this, and if so how? Not a big deal just want to know ahead of time so I dont get stuck trying to figure it out.
