Question !!! Help !!!

I just finished my new build and I installed Windows XP home edition and then later on I got the Windows XP media center edition and I went to install it on my new build and the first steps went fine but I am at the part of the installation after the PC restarted, and it comes back to the part where its installing the drivers and (***a window pops up and says if I want to trust this driver or not***) but I can’t do any thing because my mouse and my keyboard are not working. They work on other computers and they even work after I restart my computer, I can enter my bio setup with the keyboard and that work fine. My keyboard and mouse did not stop working like this when I installed home edition.

(***the pop up window is not the thing I am worried about it’s the mouse and the keyboard***)

Can some one help me if I have to dump my hard drive some how, that is fine with me and I think dumping the hard drive and installing Windows XP media center edition on a blank HD would be best.

Thank you all!!!

Are you using the PS/2 or USB port?

I just had somewhat of the same thing...all you need to do is make sure the bios has PS/2 Support enabled, and use the PS/2 port.

Once XP loads...a dos screen opened up and said "updating USB drivers" once is closed, i removed the PS/2 port on the mouse...and everything worked just fine.

p.s. I didn't need to ues the keyboard durring all this.
