Computer boots up and then dies after a few seconds. HELP
I have just built my first computer and when I turn it on it starts up and then dies. I have checked all connections and that all the fans work.
Also my computer can't find a suitable boot device even when I change it. The parts I have are; Asrock ConRoe945G-DVI Motherboard Intel pentium 4 Processor Intel Heatsink Fan 1gb DDR 2 Ram 80gb maxtor HDD DVI Graphic Card Sumvision 500w Power X Power Supply Floppy Disk Drive CD Drive |

That power supply isn't even on our list. You should replace it with something from a more reputable brand.
Are you sure you installed the heatsink/fan correctly? If its dieing on startup how are you able to enter the bios and change boot devices? |

Do you have time to enter bios and check the CPU temp? That will tell you if its overheating and shutting itself off.
