transfer to a new case kind of problem... pls help...

i switched towers. my pc is from compaq and i switched the case to a Thermaltake Shark Full Tower. i think i must've done something wrong putting it together. when i turn on my pc, it goes to the screen where you choose from normal start up or safe mode. then, after choosing either of these two the pc reboots and it won't load windows. i don't know what to do.... please help...

Are the cases the only different things or did you use another power supply too?

that's the thing... i'm not sure. why would it go like that anyway? it says that windows did not load properly. then i would choose either safe mode or normal but it would just reboot again....

i read the thread doubledragon suggested. but it's about starting from scratch. my computer is already built. it's from compaq. i just transferred it to a different case. it powers up. the fans turn on, the screen boots up and shows windows me, then it goes to the screen where you choose from 4 options. 1 is normal, then a boot log, then safe mode, and then the step by step configuration. either of these options work. if i choose 1 it would go blank and then reboot.

The reason why you go throught the steps listed is because sometimes while transferring from one case to another you might have jolted someting that might becausing you to have boot issues..
