The gun's in my mouth; I'm about to pull the trigger; my life is in your hands......

Catchy title eh?
Anyway my problem. Proceding my initial boot, and every time I've tryed to boot my machine there after, I'm met with the following message:
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: Exiting PXE ROM
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

What media test? What cables? I'VE ALREADY INSERTED THE SYSTEM DISK!
What seems to be my problem?
I've configured the BIOS so the CD ROM drive is the first to boot and I've tryed multiple system disks that I know work on other computers.

Thanks for your help

Look in the BIOS and see if anything refering to "boot from network" (or similar) is enabled. If it is, disable that option.

Is there a cable pluged into the cd drive and attached to the mobo?

Your network card may just still be listed in the boot order ahead of something. That's in the BIOS option for boot drive order. If you don't have the disable option, just take the network card out of the boot order list.
