Overclocking

hey i was wondering how safe overclocking is cuz i saw a guy with an E6600 like me and he clocked it to 3.4Ghz and he said it was stable. how safe is this?

It's as safe as you make it. In other words, take your time and read LOTS of info before starting.

Before you even try overclocking you gotta understand and accept the risks...once you overclock you void all your warranties and there's a good chance you'll end up with corrupt data.

Also, don't even think of overclocking unless your computer was built with premium parts. Budget parts don't overclock well.

i know that i wasn't really going to do it until i build my second pc and then i would clock the old one.
