Please Stop Me from Making Huge Mistakes

Okay, I have these components currently on hand.

AMD 64 X2 3800 Green CPU
One stick of Crucial 1 GB DD2 RAM
ATX CASE
ATX Power Supply Thermaltake 430w

Two Western Digital 150 GB Hard Drive IDE (I don't expect this to be supported)
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (nor this)
Two sticks Crucial 512k DDR (nor this)

First of all I have a question. What kind of slot does the latest in video card hardware use? Is it called PCI-E?

Here's the rest of the components I am thinking of getting.

A Western Digital 320 GB Hard Drive SATA
ATI Radeon X1650 PCI-E
ASUS M2N-X Motherboard

Will this work out? Am I missing something? Are there going to be anymore suprises for me? I have an old ATX case, are there any issues with swapping the components in the current case I am using?

I would go with the Segate 7200.10 over the WD. Yes PCIE is the newest for video cards. Those parts will work.. Your going to need DDR2 for ram if not going to overclock then go with Corsair value select

It's called PCI-Express 16 but is sometimes referred to as PCI-E.

Is that Thermaltake power supply a true ATX 2.0 model with a 24 pin motherboard connection? And the 4 pin 12v connection?

And which Athlon 64 X2 3800+ do you have? A Socket 939 or Socket AM2?

I have a socket AM2.

My PSu is called the TR2-430W. It has both the 24 pin and 4 pin connections.

It does not however say ATX 2.0. Is that going to be an issue?
