"Detecting array" stall

Nevermind, thats fixed, but i now have another problem..
My pc boots.. but my 2x drives (Dvd rom / dvd burner) dont turn on unless i eject it.. and then it turns off like rite after... help :[
it waits on :Boot from CD: but it doesnt boot..

Ok.. do i have a faulty dvd drive? because if i unplug the first dvd rom drive... everything works fine, can someone shed some light? and... my cpu is running awefully hot on idle... 53 Degrees Celcius

Are the drives IDE? or SATA? If IDE check the jumper settings on the back of the drive. If you are using an 80wire IDE cable (has fine, thin grooves on the cable) jumpers should be set to Cable Select (CS) and the cable should be marked as to which connector is for master and which is slave. If it's a 40 wire IDE cable (larger coarse grooves) you'll have to set the jumpers to master and slave respectively.

the burner is SATA, and it works fine
the dvd rom is IDE, but if i install it it goes into "Detecting Array"

What motherboard is this? "Detecting Array" sounds like the RAID controller is trying to put the drive into an array. I'm not too familiar with RAID so I'm just going to throw a suggest out there. Try disabling anything in the BIOS setup that has to do with RAID.
