Unhappy New PC Troubles

I just bought parts for a custom computer yesterday. I was putting then together today. After I had connected all of the parts (correctly, it seems to me anyway) and plugged it in for a test run and all of the fans started to spin, and everything was turning on, the optical drive opened when button pushed. However there was a BEEEEEEEP, BEEP, BEEP, sound and there is no display. There is also no LED power on light and the restart button does not work (probably because they are upside down)

Specs,
EVGA 680i SLI motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 2.66 Ghz
Corsair 620W Modular PSU
2 GB Corsair XMS2 Ram 800mhz
SATA Western Digital Hard Drive 500GB
an old Maxtor IDE hard drive
SATA Optical DVD-ROM drive LG
XFX 8800 GTS
NZXT Zero ATX case

EVGA Beep codes: http://www.evga.com/articles/public.asp?AID=24

Looks like either your video card or ram isn't seated securely. Remove both and re-insert them. Make sure you have BOTH pci-express power cords plugged into the video card.

Your card has just the one 6pin power connector, some video cards have two 4 pin connectors.

If it is the 320mb I only saw one myself.. Try one stick at a time to rule out the ram.. If that doesn't work try this.

Sorry about the mis direction on the power plugs; my friend's 8800GTX has 2, but it's incredibly power hungry...

I've reseated the video card and made sure that it has power. There is only one beep and the fan on the card starts up and everything else is powered too. However, there is no display still...

Make sure the monitor works fine on another computer (I doubt it's the problem, but better safe than sorry).

Then follow the instructions DoubleDragon linked to. You MUST remove the motherboard from the case.

So what was the problem? Didn't have the video card fully inserted into the slot?

My case has a nifty screwless design for everything. Unfortunetely, the manual is very vague. There was a latch near the PCI I/O slots. I had to lift it first before I installed the card then close it on top after. It was preventing me from totally putting the card in.
