First off what is your budget for the build, and what do you plan to do with it (e.g. gaming or just word processing/email)

To be honest with you I really would look at an Intel Core 2 Duo setup right now, as they are better than current AMD builds and you will get more bang for $.

But if you are set on an AMD build, then you will need to note that you need DDR800MHz RAM, not 667.

Also unless you plan to overclock you do not need an aftermarket cooler, and bear in mind that if you do use one it will void your processor warranty.

Around $1500 is my budget and I plan to use it mainly for gaming.

Can I ask, why do I need 800MHz ram?

You don't *need* it but you really should have it. The way AM2's memory controller works you lose performance if you don't use DDR-800...you can use DDR2-667 but you'll lose out on some extra performance.
