Need help with BIOS
I have just ordered a P5B-Plus MB which should arrive shortly. I have downloaded the manual so I could do a little advance reading prior to setup. One section (4.3.5) has me confused. The section is headed "IDE Configuration". Under this section it has "SATA Configuration" with the default "Enhanced" - no problem here. Next area is to "Configure SATA". Options are IDE, RAID and AHCI with IDE being the default. In my setup I will have one SATA HD, one SATA Optical Drive and one IDE Optical Drive. Do I select the "IDE" setting or the "AHCI" setting. Not using RAID at all. Thanks for any help.

Whenever i build a computer the hard drives and optical drives are on auto-detect. So should the BIOS setting be. Wait till you put the drives in and when you bootup, chances are your not gonna have any problems. But if you get some unrecognized drives just check the pin layout and make sure there on autodectect. Howerver if you know if you want some master drives and slave drives or secondary drives post back.

When you plug in all the parts just leave the bios to auto select as PCVillain suggested.. This way here you will have less problesm in messing things up...
