Best Cpu,RAM,Mobo Combo for $$ and Durablility
im confused about the new cpu's that are coming out on 7/22. Apparently, the core2 2.4 ghz processor with FSB 1333 will go for $183. core2 quad 2.4 FSB 1066mhz will go for $266. Now, the mobos are starting to support ddr2-1066 (mobo $150) vs. the ddr2-800 (mobo $100)that are standard now; the 1066 ram themselves cost about $80 more. The thing is, I will definitely not be able to afford all that. I had in mind the quad, nvidia 650i mobo, ddr2-800. Someone suggested, dual cores at FSB 1333mhz, asus p35 mobo (only mobo to support 1066 ram officially), and ddr2-1066. So, the second setup costs about 150ish more than the first. Which is the better combo in the long run for the price? or you have another combo in mind?

A quad core with a 1333Mhz FSB (not sure what the quad core costs though) on a P35 system (such as the ASUS P5K) would be the most future proof. We recommend DDR2-667 for 1066 FSB systems, so I think DDR2-800 would be a good match for 1333 FSB systems. You don't *need* DDR2-1066 if it's the standard and as you mentioned it's quite a bump in price for a small improvement (over say, DDR2-800).
