After assemble I require some assistance please
I just bought the following system:
E6600 2Gb Corsair 800mhz 4-4-4-12 Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R XFX 8600 GTS 720mhz(so they say) Seagate 500GB 16MB SATAII I assembled it, but unfortunately I don't really know how to set the bios. I mean I know that you cannot install XP SP1 on SATA yet I could, so I think it's still identifiying it as IDE, how can I change that? Also how can I change the corsair timming? This would be about the hardware part, now about the actual software. I have installed Windows SP 2 64 bit and SP1 32 bit, and both of them freeze when it's shutting down at the message (saving profile or some sort). Also there is no standby. I could not install the drivers for the graphic card, I don't have internet and I don't really know how to activate it (onboard LAN). I installed some mobo chipset and other things but nothing changed. Also when I used Q-Flash to update the bios, I only have the floppy option (I don't have a floppy drive), and I can't use my HDD or CD-Rom (I have a DVD-ROM) to acces it. It is my very first time when I actualy bought all the components separatly and I assembled it togheter. Please give me some imput of what I need to do, etc. Thank you |
