PSU Questions During Construction
So, yep. I know I've been posting thread after thread asking questions about my new PC build. But, don't worry! It's not SPAM.
So, now... I've got all of the components in but the Optical Drive, and the Hard Drive, and am connecting power to the GPU, CPU fan(done), mobo, etc. But! In my ... attempt .. I've found confusing points like my other topics, and now... connecting the power to everything on my P5L motherboard, and am confused as to where half the power connectors from the PSU go! <.< And the 6-pin connector on the GPU is supposed to go ... it has one of these little wire ends that go to almost every PSU cable. There's like a 4-pin connector, and a 4 pin receiver connected to each other, and then from one by 2 wires. But overall, I'm confused... do I have to plug in EACH of these two connectors/receivers? Or just one of the connectors or receivers(whichever fits to the needed piece o'hardware). Can anyone offer any advice? P.S. I can't help myself due to the SPARKLE 450PSU has no manual, NOR does the case. |

Depending on the video card and depending on if the video card needs an extra power connection, it should have come with a pigtail to connect to standard molex connectors if the PSU doesn't have PCI-E connectors. The 6 pin connector you have is the video card aux power connector/PCI-E.
Most times you will have extra connectors from the PSU.

Do I hook the fan's "pigtail" to the PSU's "pigtail"?
