1st Build [Advice Appreciated]

Decided to attempt to build my 1st computer. Hopefully I can use the following items in my new build.

HDD
Western Digital 80GB

ODD
1 - CDRW
1 - DVDRW
*all 3 drives IDE at the moment, not sure if they can go SATA or not*

Already have a monitor and speakers and trying to stay under $850. This is what I have selected so far:

MOBO
MSI P6N SLI-FI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail ~$109

VGA
EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail ~$280

CPU
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80557E6600 - Retail ~$223

RAM
WINTEC AMPX 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 3AXT6400C5-2048K - Retail ~$90

PSU
SPARKLE ATX-450PN ATX12V 2.2 450W Power Supply - OEM ~$50

CASE
Rosewill R6AS5-BK 0.8mm SECC 120mm Fan ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail ~$55

Total ~ $790

I read on the forums that I should wait until July 22nd for the price drops on the CPU's, which I plan on doing. My real concern is the PSU. I know FSP is a good brand but not sure if the 400W is enough and dont really want to spend a lot on a PSU unless needed. Also if it would be cheaper, are there cases that have quality PSU's that would be cheaper than buying separately?

Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No, you can't use IDE drives on SATA controllers. That Gigabyte motherboard has only 1 IDE connection so you can only use 2 IDE drives unless you install a IDE controller card.

With a 8800GTS I think you'll want at least a 450 watt PSU...500 watts would give the option to add more drives later if you decide you need more storage space.

Unfortunately there are very few cases that come with good quality power supplies in them. Antec would be my first choice for a case with power supply if I had to get a case with power supply...but I don't trust Antec power supplies anymore so I usually buy a Fortron Source separately

What made you go with the Gigabyte motherboard instead of the MSI?
