My Gaming Rig

It's that time. I do not plan to OC......yet.

I plan on going with Nvidia SLI. I also need to do some 3D development and Graphics (Photoshop). I know there are cards out there designed for that but this is my home build, I need more gaming rather than work.

MOBO: Asus P5N32-E LINK
CPU: Intel Quad Core LINK + Zalman CNPS9500
RAM: Corsair DDR2 800 MHZ LINK
HD: Seagate 320 GB HDx2 LINK
DVD CD WRITER: Lite-On 20x LINK
VIDEO CARD: 8800GTX x2LINK
PSU: OCZ 1000 mhz (not sure on this one)
CASE: Antec Nine Hundred LINK

Well I guess thats it. Any opinions or advice?

I am not a fan of SLI but at least you are doing it right with two top in cards. What kind of monitor are you running with the system because you are going to have a heck of a lot of video power.

List looks fine but understand that the Zalman cooler will void the warrenty of the CPU. I might suggest you start with the stock cooler and check your temps before you go that direction. If you are overclocking from the start and need the extra cooling well that is a different story and I will leave recommendations to the Overclocking crowd.

Best of luck with your build.

Thanks, that's a great idea about leaving the stock fan on at first but the issue with me is noise. My current system sounds like a jet taking off.

I'm using a dual monitor set up 2x 19" Viewsonic LCD monitors at a resolution of 1240 x 1080 would love to go 3 monitors though.
