Are Mitsumi Floppy/Card Readers Quality? My 4 Month Old Reader Already Failing...

I bought this Mitsumi Floppy/Card Reader combo last March for my 4 month old build (specs below) and the reader no longer detects my SanDisk SD card.

I've heard about SD cards failing pretty quicky but the card works fine in my laptop, although it seems like transfering big files takes forever.

But when I put the SD card in the slot in my PC. the red read light goes on but it's not recognized in My Computer. The floppy portion still works fine though.

I haven't bothered to contact Mitsumi for an RMA yet. I'm wondering if I should even bother. It costed less than $20 so I was wondering if I shoiuld just buy a different brand Floppy/Reader.

Are there many problems with Mitsumi? What other makes would you recommend?

Thanks in advance

I've used a couple in builds and they have been going strong for a couple of years. That doesn't necessarily mean much on there newer models, though.
