I don't know how that processor would hold up for games, I have an AMD X2 4200+ and works well with games, and its only about $20 more.

For memory, go with Corsair Valueselect. Great brand, and you can get 2GB's for the price for cheaper than that 1GB.

For an AMD build you really want 800, it makes a big difference I understand.

- You should get a stronger CPU
- I heard alot of problems with Rosewill, and you should consider a different brand

Welcome to PCMech.

I agree with the Rosewill swap suggestion. Check out our list for good power supplies: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=131195

Also, swap the LiteOn with a Retail instead of OEM. It will come with software then.

i see
i replaced the lite-on drive with a retail one.
so that psu i was going to get probably wont be worth gambling on?

well i checked out this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817189005

even though its cheaper is supports SLi and is one of the suggested brands.
or maybe one of you could point me in the direction of a better budget one?

Another thing,
Since i am on a budget ($700 or so)
should I just get a non SLi board?
if so could someone point me in the direction of a good cheap one?

feedback appreciated.

That would be an excellent idea. We usually recommend the Asus M2N-E:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131022

That XClio is plenty of power.

I see SLi seemed like a little out of my reach anyway.
I think i have everything on lock besides memory.

should i grab 2gb of Corsair Valuselect at a slower speed
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145098
or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220142
get 1gb of ddr2 800 ram and buy another one later.

If you can swing $75 go for this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145590
It has a rebate and you really want the faster memory for AMD builds. About the same price with rebate as the slower value select.

Looks good but I have never heard of Geil memory. If you can swing an extra $10 go for the corsair linked above. It is know to be very good memory. (have not heard anything bad, just have never heard the name at all

Geil RAM is okay to use, it's about the same quality as A-Data, G.Skill, OCZ, Patriot or PQI. I've installed it in a bunch of computers in the past and never had problems with it. But given a choice between Geil and Corsair, I'd go with Corsair.
