build list re-done

I decided to dump my old list and start over from scratch. First of all i got rid of 64-bit system and went for the 32-bit version of vista, so i had to go with less than 4 gigs. As always i need a second opinion for compatibility. thank you for your advice! I want the sound card for home recording and i went with the 620 watt PSU since ill be overclocking with a quad core and with the energy guzzling GTX. Ive got a moniter.

video card EVGA 768-P2-N831-AR GeForce 8800GTX 768MB $516.99

MoBo
ASUS P5K LGA 775 $139.99

Ram
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 $119.00
Sound Card bluegears b-Enspirer 7.1 Channels $94.99

Power Supply CORSAIR CMPSU-620HX ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 620W $169.99

Speakers
ALTEC LANSING FX5051 89 Watts 5.1 $183.99
mouse
Logitech MX518 2-Tone 8 Buttons 1 x Wheel $36.99
Hard Drive Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 $79.99

Case
COOLER MASTER Ammo $74.99

Lite-on
LITE-ON Black 20X $39.99
OS
Microsoft Windows Vista 32-Bit Home Premium for System Builders $111.99
CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 Kentsfield 2.66GHz $619.99

how does it all look?

looks solid to me, nice case BTW. looks like you may need to buy another 120mm fan for the rear exhaust.

Thats Great! Actually i was planning to mod the case, which i also think is the coolest thing! if you look at the pictures in newegg, on the right side panel (if your looking from the front) its 9 squares, 3x3, so i was gunna make some custom windows on all the side middle squares. What do you think? im still trying to figure out just exactly how im going to do this, but maybe the right middle square could be cut out and be used for a fan. Ill have to see once i get the case!

picture here

The GTX will fit right?

Hmm thats odd. A quad core Mobo with only a 4 pin CPU connector. I thought that most if not all Quad core Mobos were 8 pin. Id like a second opinion on that please =]
I like your case too. Back when I didn't build computers I almost bought a pre assembled white box computer with that very case. Ohh how I envy you!

Tom =]

PS: Yes the GTX should fit

This web page has a list of 8800GTX compatible cases...I don't see the Master Ammo listed, just the Wave Master and Stacker cases.

If I had to pick an Intel MoBo over an ASUS, what would you pick? I have a friend, so i would probably get an intel MoBo cheaper. Any suggestions?

I'd go with ASUS with an intel chipset.. if I remember correctly you can't change settings in a Intel bio to OC, like you can with a after market brand..

With fitting the 8800GTX card in a case, the outside dimensions do not come into play. It it the space from the card slots to the drive cage inside the case.
From the pics on Newegg, looks like you may get it to fit by removing the middle drive cage.
