PC turns on and off, reboots
Guys,
I have just spent 3 hrs building my own PC. When I turned on the machine, there's no sounds or beeps, the machine turns off, then a few seconds later turns on again, then it turns off and keeps on going on this loop. Any ideas? Here's a desc of the components: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz Intel DP35DPM Intel Socket 775 ATX Motherboard Thrmaktake Silent 775D CPU Fan ATI Steatlh X1550 256MB PCIe Pioneer DVD+RW DL Drive 200 GB Maxtor SATA Drive I have called the store (Global Computer) and they claim I'm using an "incompatible" fan which is not correct. I didn't buy from them but from Micro Center. Same model they have on their website. They are being jerks about this and not helping. The customer service rep accused me of credit card fraud if I callled them and filed a complaint to help me resolve this. Before this turns ugly and turn this over to my attorney I'll appreciate your help to figure out what could this be. Many thanks! |

Best place to start is our "out of case troubleshooting" thread. You must remove everything from the case and start with only the core components installed.
