Would suggest a better PSU, something like the Corsair 520 HX. Rosewill supplies are a hit or miss on quailty between models.
HD, look to the Seagate 7200.10 SATA 16mb in the size of your choice. Would drop the SLI motherboard and look to the Asus P5K series and pick one with the options you want. The P5B series is also a good choice, a bit older chipset but a proven board.

likewise i highly recommend the corsair 520HX power supply.
also i agree that 7200.10 SATA hard drive above is perfect. P5k, and p5B again very good. additionally: you dont need 800mhz ram unless you plan to overclock, so go for value select 667 corsair ram. the 8600 should be fine as a graphics card but would go for the EVGA one. i would go for a SATA DVD burner not an IDE one. the quad core should be fine.

Would stay with the XMS 800 since it is about the same price (with the rebate) as the Value Select

Short awnser: No
Long awnser: Theres a big performance gap between the 8600GT and the 8800GTS which can pretty much "max out" games. I would step up to a 8800 if you want to max. However, on the other side, you may want to get the 8600GT as sort of a placeholder, because it is uncertain how the 8 series is going to preform once DX10 games become standard and in full swing (2008-2009). There are a few comming out this year, but before next year or early next year, Nvidia will definantly be releasing something. It may be a mid range card, but even if it is, by then we will have a much better idea how the 8800's are going to preform. If they arn't doing so well, you may want to wait until the G90/G92. |

As far as I can recall the game Crysis is been tested and played based off the 8800 series with DX10 enabled. And it has performed EXTREMELY well. Im looking to build a new PC shortly and with the research I have done I am going with the factory overclocked edition of the 8800GTS 320MB its only $299. It has shown in tests out-performing the 640MB version according to tomshardware.com VGA charts. With that combined with knowing how well the very high-end game crysis is performing based off the 8800 series, even being tested with the GTS line, it has me sold.
