compatibility

im not sure if this is the right section for this but i want to start building/selling my own custom built computers but the only problem is that....ive never done it b4....i love it its like a passion already but i need help to know how to do it....maily how do you know what parts are compatible with each other?

First off, you need to search first. There are many stickies (one in this section of the forum) that tells you what parts you need. To find out what parts are compatible, you just read the specs, it will say for example (the motherboarD) Asus P5B Delux 775 ATX, well that 775 means its compatabile with all 775 socket processors.

Also, making a small buisness out of building PC's is not very profitable. There are threads regarding making buisnissess selling custom PC's.

Chazell29, be very careful about the information you're giving out...not all LGA775 processors will work with all LGA775 motherboards. Most motherboard makers have a processor compatibility list for each motherboard they produce.

Well thats what I ment by read the specs, like when your on newegg, click the little spec tab, and go down to processor. Sorry if that wasn't clear.
