RAM not reading correctly

E6750
p5k
Vista
2 GB g.Skill 800mhz (2 x 1 GB sticks set in slots 1 & 3 for dual channgel)

It shows in CPU-z that is is only reading 400 mhz and not 800 mhz, any clues as to why?

DDR (Double Data Rate) RAM will take the motherboard FSB (front side bus) speed and double that speed internally. What CPU-z is reading might be the motherboard FSB speed, not the RAM internal bus speed.

Yes, that's correct. DDR2 is Double data rate. It is 400MHz, doubled. CPU-Z is just reading the non-doubled speed.
