question about installing cpu to mobo
I have an e6750 and a gigabyte p35 mobo. When I install the cpu into the socket on the mobo, am I suppose to hear a click or anything to ensure that its been secured? In other words, when I put it in, will it be loose and only stay secured when I lock it with the pin and the cover on the mobo? thanks in advance

It won't click.
Follow the HARDWARE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS in your manual.
