Is this my motherboard being fried?...
3 Days ago I embarked on a computer remodelling adventure. That adventure has turned to a disaster.
The original plan was to install a coolermaster watercooling kit... but to also repaint the inside of my case. To make a long story short, I was working late at night, and rushing it, and now I'm in a bad place. The computer is a p4 2.8 / asusp4p800 / 80gig maxtor / 2 gig corsair / radeon 9800pro / windows XP. As it stands now, everything is in the case, everything connected, everything has power... just the mobo doesn't seem to work. The LED on it is on... meaning it has power. When I turn it on though, there is no signal to the monitor, no signal to the keyboard or mouse. Any suggestions? I'm beyond the point of feeling annoyed and now I just want it fixed. I noticed a scratch on the back of the motherboard, most likely caused by me being too rough with the screws for the water block. Thanks in advance. |

Double check all of your power connections.
Then try this out of the case procedure: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=132409

It sounds like a motherboard problem, but I'm not sure so wait for someone else to post. I'm just wondering, please tell me you tooke verything out of your case before you painted the inside right!?

Haha yes. I'll double check the connections when I get home from work.
