Firewire card causes restarts
I'm transferring my old components to a new case/motherboard. All went fine until I put in a PCI card with USB and firewire connections. The connections work, but whenever I try to shut down, the computer will just re-start. Even if I turn I do a hard shut down it will just start up again. I need firewire on this computer so I want this to work. What might be causing the problem.

Does the system work OK / normally with the card pulled? Have you tried it in another PCI slot? Try moving to the slot furthest from the video card then work inward to see if it makes a difference.

I've tried all pci slots, same problem in each case. I'll have to try a different firewire card.
