WoW gaming machine
Hello -- it's been a long time since I built my last computer. Right now I have a laptop, but it doesn't play world of warcraft very well. I want to build a inexpensive desktop to play WoW, I'm looking for specs that will play that game pretty well but still be inexpensive (under $400?). If that's not possible let me know. I do have a processor AMD 3200+ venice 939 which was given to me from a friend (it's his hold one). Can anyone recommend a list of parts?
Thanks in advance... |

Get a standard ASUS or other reputable brand motherboard, plenty of RAM (1GB at least) and an nVidia 6k series or ATi 1k series card will do fine.
Motherboard Example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131125 $44.99 RAM Example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820236110 $52.99 Video Card Example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102102 $144.99 Need a case and power supply, hard drive and optical drive, but those are mostly personal preference. Check the power supply thread for good brand name units. You will probably need at least 400W of good power. Last edited by IntegraGSR; 08-22-2007 at 04:38 PM. |
