Problems with a new build

As many other threads...I'm having issues with Wow crashing (wow errors, sometimes BSOD) under both Vista 32 and 64 bit. Specs below:

Asus P5n-E SLI
E6600 Core 2 Duo
Nvidia 8800 GTS (320 MB)
Corsair 2GB 800 mhz dual channel kit w/ heatspreader....C4
320GB Sata HD
Lite-on SATA Dvd-rw drive
Corsair 520HX PSU

I thought it might have been the video card, but I swapped it with my 7300 and the 8800 works fine in my computer and my known good video card still stalled in his....it froze up earlier today.

Any ideas? Should I try doing XP....but it sounds like a hardware thing to me. Memtest and windows memory test turned up nothing.

if you have xp, then i would try it with that.

but you might want to see if you could update wow. also check their website to see if they have a forum there and search that. i'm sure someone has the same problem if it's a software issue.

also make sure windows is updated.

is anything else crashing? if not, then i would definately think it's a software issue.

What did the BSOD say? If it just flashed by, you'll need to disable 'automatic reboot on system error' in the control panel options. Not sure on the procedure on Vista, but google will turn something up.....

*EDIT* Bingo! http://pcsupport.about.com/od/window...startvista.htm

Hehe yeah, but recently it has been more hard-locking than BSOD. I read up a bit and tried updating the SATA drivers and disabling superfetch. SO Far no problems *knocks on wood*...but need a few more hours of testing to be sure
