- Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

-TOPOWER XPT Series TOP-500XPT ATX12V 500W Power Supply

-CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory Model VS1GB667D2

-Intel BOXD975XBX2KR LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard

-Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80557E6750

-XFX PVT84JUDD3 GeForce 8600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card

I dont know if im over doing it on parts or under dooing it. this rounds out 2 be close to 1000$. kinda high priced for me. wondering if these parts will work together or if any 1 has any suggestions on making it more in the 800$ range?

Battlefield 2142 and Counter-Strike: Source.

swat5150: I wouldn't use a Topower power supply, I'd go with something from a better company like Antec, Enermax, Fortron Source, PC Power & Cooling, Seasonic or Sparkle Power.

If you want to cut back on the price a bit the only things I would suggest is the CPU and the motherboard. Get a E6550 C2D instead of the E6750 and get a ASUS P5K SE instead of the Intel BOXD975XBX2KR...you'll save about $125 over your original choices.

You need an optical drive. Get a lite on dvd/cd burner.,

You can save some money by getting a western digital hard drive.

Get an evga 8600gt not xfx

Get an asus p5k motherboard

To save money the e4400 is plenty enough power for what you want to do. Try and get 2gb of ram if you can.

Also you need an operating system. Get windows vista system builders oem.
