dvd drive and internet problems

I recently just finished my first build but im having two major problems, number one my dvd drive doesnt open my cd rom does but my dvd drive doesnt and ive treid 3 different drives

the second problem is my internet isnt working, i use cable and it works on the computer im using right now but not the one i just put together i treid turning the modem off then back on and still no

try chaniging the cables you used to connect the dvd drive with teh one for the cd drive.

if that doesn't work, see if you can try that dvd drive in a different computer to see if that works.

yea the drive works in another comp and no switching cables didnt work. What about my internet problem?
Do you think EVGA's tech support will be able to help?

Have you enabled LAN in the BIOS and loaded the drivers from the motherboard CD? Check in the Device Manager to see if there is any exclamation marks next to the Network Adapter listing.

yea it was a drivers issue with my internet, and i think the dvd drive is DOA so im gonna RMA see if it works its weird the cd that came with the mobo didn't have the right drivers i needed to dl them onto my sister comp burn onto cd and then load onto mine, so stupid

if the drive worked in the other computer, then it's not DOA. i doubt that rma'ing it will solve the problem then.
