PC shorts when HDD attached

I decided to upgrade my power supply to a Hiper 580 Type-R, I took out the old PSU and fitted the Hiper as soon as I turned on the PC it turned off, after much testing I narrowed it down to the HDD, PC starts up OK without HDD attached as soon as you connect it, it turns off. I returned the HDD to Seagate who replaced it, I returned the PSU to Hiper who replaced it, so with new components I started again, guess what, exactly the same thing happened.
I have the mobo out of the case with just the CPU, cooler and memory in,

Any ideas?

Is this for the computer in your sig?

Did you try different SATA ports on the motherboard?

Did you try different SATA power connectors from the power supply?

Did you try the Seagate in another computer yet?
