No Monitor Display

I just finished up the build on my first homebrew PC and now that I"ve got everything in, when I press the power button everything in the case kicks on, fans, lights, ect, but the monitor stays black and displays nothing.

My system specs are as follows.

Motherboard - EVGA nForce 590 SLI Motherboard
Processor - AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Processor 3.20GHz
Harddrive - Seagate 500gb SATA
Disc Drive - HP DVD1040I 20X DVD Burner Lightscribe
RAM - Dual Channel TWINX 2048MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz
Video Card - EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS Superclocked

When the power is turned on, the front and back case fans spin and light up. The PSU fan spins and lights up. The fan on the video card spins. Some lights on the motherboard light up and there's a small two digit digital read out that comes on and displays "C1" Along with that I can hear a beeping, not from the speakers but from inside the case. The harddrive kicks on and the disc drive does work.

One thing that I'm concerned is that the monitor might be to old. Its a Dell monitor from my previous computer, and I'm having to use an adapter that came with the video card to hook it up.

What power supply? That's going to need a fair amount of power.

Does the motherboard manaul provide any insight as to what "C1" means?

Its an 850 watt OCZ power supply

I've got emails out to EVGA. I cant find anything on the "C1" but I've also noticed some beeping from the motherboard.

2 long beeps

1 short beep

Then continuous long beeps.

The manual says that the continuous long beeps indicate a DRAM problem, that is isnt installed or detected. It is installed in the proper slots for dual channel RAM.

Follow the link blue gave and report back what happens. A PC is a lot of individual parts and the only way to isolate the problem is to check it out one step at a time.
