Mobo help for new build
Hey I am looking to make a new computer to be able to play all the new games coming out (Unreal 3, World in Conflict). My Budget is around $0-1500. I already have a moniter, keyboard, mouse, and my brother can get me Vista for cheap. I want to utilize the new 6750 intel core 2, but am not sure what motherboard to use. I couldn't find a lot of threads about this so decided to ask.
My current list: Processer: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80557E6750 - Retail (200$) Case: APEVIA X-CRUISER-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail ($60) PSU: OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS ATX12V / EPS12V 600W Power Supply - Retail ($90) Ram: CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model (64 after rebate) Video Card: EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail ($270) DVD drive: LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA Model LH-20A1L-06 - Retail (40) HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM (80) Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX (110) Not sure if this mobo is the right one to get, I see that a lot of people recommend an Asus board, does anyone know which Mobo whould be the best for this config? Thanks for all the help |

For the 6750, should go with a board that has the P35 chipset, the Asus P5K series uses the P35.
The rest of ypour parts look good.
