Question Require help please on building a pc

Hi Guys

I have purchased a xfx 8600gs graphis card only to find that my pc is really out of date to fit it, i have a case and 480w power supply and a budget of £450 need basically everyfin inside renewing, could anyone please help me with a good spec at this price, everything seems so complicated and i want to make sure it would all work, when fitted,

Thanks

What kind of computer do you have now? Home built or name brand?

Are you planning to upgrade the current computer or are you going to build a new one from the ground up? Depending on what type of power supply you already have you may or may not be able to use it with newer parts.
