New build Not working all the time

My new build is acting strangly it will boot up some of the time but sometimes only the fans will switch on and i get no beep codes.I have tried taking it out of the case and going through each component to see whats causing the problem but it didnt make a difference. i thought maybe it was over heating so i had a look and the processer and it is running at 39/40 celsius. I am really confused and cant seem to figure out what is wrong.

Here are my specs

ASUS P5K AiLifestyle Series iP35 Socket 775 eSATA 8channel Audio ATX Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750

Geil Ultra DDR2 2.0GB PC6400 Dual Channel memory kit (2 x 1GB) 800MHz (4-4-4-12)

Seagate ST3320620AS 320GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200RPM 16MB Cache - OEM

Corsair HX Series 520W Modular PSU - ATX12V v2.2 APFC

NEC Optiarc AD-7170S-0B 18x DVD±RW/DL/RAM Serial ATA Black - OEM

I'm wondering if it doesn't like that Geil ram - the recent Intel chipsets have a tendency to not like CAS4 DDR2-800 that's rated for higher than 1.9 volts.

I decided to remove one of the sticks of ram and now everything seems to be working fine and im installing the operating system. But before i started installing the operating system i just tried one stick in at a time and i think that one of the sticks was more reliable then the other one i think working 100% of time whilst when i would replace it with the other RAM stick it would fail to boot up alot of the time. Is there anything i can do about the ram or do i have to replace it?

Download memtest86+ and test each stick separately.
