Front Panel Connections
It has been a long time since I have built a computer and I can't remember the polarity on the front panel wires. Which one is which?

The only ones that matter are the LED's and the speaker. Reversing them won't hurt anything, reversing the power LED will simply mean the LED won't come on, reversing the HDD LED will cause it to stay on all the time, and the speaker simply won't beep.

Does that mean
that there is no standard for the wires i.e. white is always negative?

Aftermarket cases generally use the white wire as the Ov/ground/negative/return line on a particular connection. Brand name PCs may not follow any kind of color coding of case wires.
