Took this build off a site just curous if any parts should be replaced for better preformance. Also is the case enough to keep it cool

looks like the high end build off toms hardware.
personally the seagate 7200.10 hard drives are better value and warranty. id go for a retail liteon drive SATA version. corsair ram could save some money.

I would replace the Ultra power supply with something better. For a high end rig I'd go with a Seasonic power supply.
And I would replace the Samsung DVD burner with a Lite-On, NEC or LG. Cricket

That build is spending a lot of money for only minor performance gains but that is what ultra high end is all about so go for it. My one warning would be the case. I would not try two GTXs in SLI in that case. Unless I am getting my cases mixed up, I worked on a Tsunami once and it is not a very large case. I personally did not think it was buildt that well either but thats just me. I would upgrade the case to a full tower or one of the mid towers that I know work with 8800 GTX in SLI like the Antec 182. There is a site that lists what cases work with 8800 GTXs in SLI so you might try to google it, I dont have the link and am at work so cant google gaming sites......lol. Anyway, if you are really planning on building that monster take a few minutes and try to varify it will fit in the case without having to cut our pieces. Even if they fit, two 8800 GTXs will produce a lot of heat and a full tower will provide much better airflow.
Do you plan to OC the system? You dont need the fast ram if you are not going to OC. Kat

Nice find. Not the list I was thinking about but it does show that they are recommending full towers. There is another site with alot more case choices and posters let you know what if any modifications where necessary. I remember it because it talked about the problem of air flow also. The 8800s dont just need to fit, they need enough room around them not to block airflow through the case. Which is probably why both Nividea recommendations are for Full Towers.

It might fit.........
I really like the looks of that case myself, but after helping a freind with his build I was not really impressed with how it was put together. However, my main concern is with the size, not the quality. The 8800 GTS is just a really big card and to get air to flow around it you need a case with enough room so you dont have to squeeze it in. I just dont remember that case being very big. If you already have it you could look up the measurments of the card and see if it will fit. Kat |

they used the LCS in toms hardware build with those exact same specs:
http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/09/...em/page15.html so definately all fits in the armour LCS |

ya i know perk thats where i got that from. I just wanted to make a few changes for better products even if they aren't "top of the line" if there is minimal preformance increase i see no pt in paying way more for an item either which is why i asked bout the system
cant find that LCS case anywhere by where i live Probably going with this card http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...0088620&catid= |

I would just look up the case on their website of manufacturer and get a case you like from a provider of similar size, so you can be comfortable in knowledge the parts will fit.
