Build for Work

Hello,

This is my first post in about a year Im guessing. I have been totally out of the loop on hardware these days. The last build I did was for my gaming rig. Now my dad needs a new computer for his office.

Quoted from his email to me:

"Intel Dual Core at least 2. ghz
2 gig ram minimum
250 gig hd
16x dvd
2 dvi video card (I don't need the latest, greatest,
it's for work, not gaming)"

He is going to use dual monitors.
The cheaper the price the better, however performance is still a priority but nothing too much.

I have gone through newegg, but i really dont know what im looking at its been so long.
Any help would be appreciated.

you might start by checking out these parts. It really depends what type of work he does, this system would maybe be a bit faster than needed, I work more with gaming rigs.

Asus P5K
C2D E6750 or E6550
Corsair XMS 800
8600 GT
Antec Sonota III case with 500w PSU
Lite-on DVD burner retail with free Nero
Seagate 320 gb HD
Vista home premium 32 bit
