New Build Trouble
I just did a new rebuild and upgraded to am Intel BX975XBX board and a 840 CPU. I also put in a WD2500YS HD, but am havig trouble loading the OS. When XP stats to run I get an error message that states the system does not recognize the HD. From doing a little research it appears I may need to setup my HD first, but i have also been told XP should do that automatically. I do not have a floppy in this system, so if I do have to do a HD setup that may be an issue. Any advise?

Make sure the controller is not set to RAID in the bios.

BINGO. I swithed it over from RAID and now XP is configuring the HD, so I'm off and running. Thanks so much for the help.
