Hello everyone!
First of all my system specs are in my signature. I think my motherboard is starting to die on me. A few days ago i was playing a game and my computer froze and got a random blue screen of death and would not even post. After about 10 hours of messing with it i finally got the computer to post by removing all but one particular stick of ram (only ONE stick works, if i put it in a different stick or more than 1 GB the computer will not post). Once I posted i discovered that several windows files were messed up and i had to go into the system repair console to fix those errors. Finally after all this I got back into windows (but only with 1 GB of Ram). My first thought was that 3/4 sticks of my ram died on me. To test this incorect theory i tested all 4 sticks one at a time in an old computer i had laying around. All the sticks work perfectly! I am very confused!!! Why do all the sticks work just fine in another computer but in my computer only one particular stick will work??? Is my motherboard dying??? IF so can anyone recommend a good 939 motherboard that can handle 4gb ram (that is actually in stock). I know 939 is outdated but it works great for me right now. Please Help!!!! (thank you in advance) |

Tiger Direct has four 939 boards in stock : http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...sp?CatId=1569&
Newegg has eight in stock : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...07495&name=939 Which one you buy will depend on whether or not that's an AGP card you've got.

You are running overclocked. The VERY FIRST thing you do for troubleshooting when you are overclocking is return all settings to default!

Sorry i forgot to mention that i also restored all settings in bios to default settings (just in case something weird was going on with the mild overclock). Anyone have any specific recommendations to help me fix my problem or specific motherboard recommendations (pci-e)?
Thanks again! |

I would contact Corsair and discuss this issue with one of their techs.

RAM GUY over at the Corsair forums answers all questions and speeds rma's and warranty returns.
Here : http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/index.php The answers are honest and if there's any question they will replace the ram. |
