Don't use Samsung drives (hard drive and optical drives), reliability issues. For the hard drive look at Seagate or Western Digital and for the optical drive look at Lite-On, LG or NEC.

You'll want to get a better power supply too...it's the most important part of the computer and I really don't think a $40 520 watt PSU is going to be very good.

You're not building this computer to play games, right?

You sure you want to use Vista 64?

You're going to game with a $60 video card? What games do you play or want to play?

Agree with what was said already.

Save some money by not worrying about the extra heatsink, and stick with 2gb ram, then use that money to get a better video card, and stick with vista 32.

If you can get a better video card and still afford 4gb of ram, then get a 2x2gb pack. It will be more stable at stock speeds and voltage. Then get vista 64 and enjoy it.

that vid card is going to choke that system. its about balance, you dont want your vid card to be the weak component.

An Asus P5K board is a better bet than a Nvidia chipset board for a single video card.

Do you want good, or do you want cheap?

This is what is being recommended now as the standard for a gaming rig: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130303

Tom's also has a very useful chart that lists in tiers the various iterations and generations of nvidia and Ati processors. It makes it a little easier to understand the numbering. The chart is halfway down the page:

You really gotta get a better power supply than that ePower. If it's a poorly built one and decides to die prematurely on you, it could kill the rest of the computer when it does. Cheap power supplies rarely have over-voltage protection.

Change the dvd burner to a sata connection, and a retail version. Then you get a cable and software for only like an extra $3 or something.

Unless you're going to OC, forget about the extra heatsink fan. That will void your warranty anyway.

Can save money by only getting 2gb now, and going with vista 32.

You never want to use the power supply as a place to trim the budget. This is a great unit for a reasonable price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817104954

If you're going to overclock then you need a very good quality power supply. Like Alaron said, you never want to go cheap on the power supply...it's the most important component in the computer and moreso if you're going to overclock.

If you are on a budget, why are you spending 44 bucks on a heatsink? Use the stock one, it works fine. Spend that money on a quality power supply and a better motherboard.

System is only as good as the weakest link, that's why everyone is hammering on you about the video card.

Good luck overclocking a E6750, it's already running at 1333 FSB, overclocking that is totally unnecessary. Besides, DDR2-800 is the best ram for that STOCK speed, if you are going to overclock, pry your wallet open and buy DDR2-1066.

But if you don't use the stock heatsink that comes with the retail CPU you'll void the 3 year warranty.

Your 44 bucks will be MUCH better spent elsewhere. You keep complaining about your budget and trying to cheap out on MUCH more important components - the stock FREE heatsink does a VERY GOOD job. Hint - to buy a replacement STOCK heatsink from Intel would cost you 35 bucks.

Apevia power supplies are GARBAGE. I don't care WHAT the Newegg reviews say. They are made by a low end manufacturer.
