Please post the complete system specs for this computer. List all the parts by brand and model including the power supply.

Specs are as follows;

-Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping (2.4GHz 1066MHz) Socket 775 L2 8MB Cache

-Asus P5K-E WiFi Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
-150gb Raptor
-Corsair TX 750W ATX2.2
-OcUK ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
-Antec Nine Hundred - Gaming Case with 200mm Top Fan - No PSU
-Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series 7.1 Sound Card
-OcUK 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit
-Asus 18x18 optical drive

Personally, I think it is the heatsink/processor. After I connected it to the mobo, it was taken off the mobo. Could this have affected the thermal paste ( forgotten what its called)

Have you done the out of the case test ?
Yes it could be the heatsink/fan if it's not correctly attached and if the correct fan header isn't connected.

What do you mean? Did you install the CPU and heatsink and then remove them? Or did you just remove the heatsink from the CPU? And why did you have to do that?

What is assembled so far? Is the motherboard in or out of the case?

Do you have spare parts you can swap in to test with?

On the motherboard? Or on the front of the case?

One for the PCI slot? Never heard of that before. Are you sure it's for the PCI slot and not the hard drive? And what are the LED lights doing? Are they constantly on? Or they don't work? What?

Are you sure you connected the power button connector to the right set of pins on the front panel header.
