Question upgrade help

I want to upgrade the computer below in my signature. I just got COD4 and want to be able to play it and other new games.

Would this be a good CPU choice?

If so what mobo?

Is this a good version of the 8800?;

What hard drive? I want at least 320GB. Should I also get a 10,000 rpm hard drive for gaming? I'm confused on that.

I also need a PSU and I'm in the dark on what RAM to get.

I would like to use Vista.
Will my old optical drives work with all this?
What am I forgetting?
Thanks for the help!

Seagate 7200.10 or 7200.11.

A 7200 RPM HDD is fine. You don't see much of a performance difference between a 7200 RPM and 10,000 RPM HDD but the 10,000 RPM HDDs are much more expensive...not cost effective.

Look at the Corsair PSUs and Corsair XMS RAM (DDR2 800).

If they are IDE opticals you should consider changing them for SATA opticals.

No.
That 8800GTS is WEAKER than the 8800GT and the 8800GT costs less.
The 8800GT is out of stock everywhere right now still.

Also another great video card that costs $80 less than an 8800GT right now is the ATI Radeon 3870 which costs $220 but is also sold out. However the 8800GT only outperforms the 3870 by around 5 FPS in most benchmarks.

The 2 best video cards with price/performance are 8800GT and AMD 3870 but they're both sold out.
