Angry Fire Boot up issues

I just recently put in a new motherboard, CPU, and 2 graphics cards in my computer and when I got to start it up it brings me to the screen where I want to run it in safe mode or just run it normally. I go to either or and my computer restarts. I do not know howto get passed this. Anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening?

i just added:

Motherboard: Evega nforce 680i LT
Graphics Cards: 2x e-Geforce 8600 GT
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6420
Power supply: Antec Truepower Trio 650 Watt

What kind of computer is this? Home built or name brand?

What operating system are you using?

Are you using the hard drive that already had the operating system installed on it or did you install the operating system to a blank hard drive after you installed the new parts?

I am using the hard drive that already had the operating system on it. The operating system I am using is Windows XP 64 Edition. This is also a home built computer.

Unless you changed the motherboard for the exact same make and model, you will now have the wrong motherboard drivers loaded in Windows and this is possibly what is stopping the machine booting up.
The first thing I would try is a repair install of XP.

Have a read of this site for instructions, the proccess is very simple I have done it many times.

Yeah that will be the problem, I had it when I replaced the motherboard. Windows didn't have the drivers for it.

Ok, I just bought the full installation disk for the window's vista so I can format my hard drive. I already tried putting the cd in already on the startup but. It only gets to Boot from cd: and it is stuck on there. Anyone know what is wrong?

Stuck? Do you mean the pc became unresponsive?

you need to go into the BIOS and set the CD/DVD to first boot device/then put the Vista dvd into the drive and close the drawer/select exit and save to changes in the BIOS/the PC will then reboot and the Windows install should start.
