That's pretty ugly imo, buy it's all up to you. Take a look at the CM 690, it's really nice and is only around $60.

Consider a Corsair 450 if you're going to get an 8600GT

Wildfire hit the main points.

If getting 4gb of ram, get a 2x2gb kit. And then, I would suggest Vista 64 with that. Get an OEM copy and you're good to go.

Original Equipment Manufacturer, which means the software doesn't come in a fancy box, and maybe without a manual.

Get the better, standard P5K for $5 more.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131180

If you're on a tight budget, only $1100 for a gaming rig with a monitor.
Jump down from 4GB to 2GB of ram. save yourself from that $200 4gb ram and jump down to a $38 2x1GB of ram. The difference is almost minimal since 2Gb is far enough already.
Corsair is the most reliable ram company as far as I'm aware of.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145590

And since you're on a tight budget.. Jump down to a $95 320GB Seagate harddrive. Unless you really need the space o.o. The computer I'm using right has only used 50GB so yea.. I don't know if you really NEED 750GB.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148215

Those are my main points for you budget-wise since if you're trying to stay in your budget and you're out of you're budget. There's no point in overkilling yourself with 750GB hard driver and 4Gb of ram.

I'm not going to say much about your video card since it's a great video card for people on a budget but if you plan on doing hardcore gaming like Crysis, you may need to step-up your video card to an eVGA 8800 GT. But that would cost $300 which would ruin your budget.

Change the MB. That one has onboard video. No need if getting a video card.

Try this burner: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106072 And it's cheaper.

If it's a gaming computer, then I would upgrade the video card. Look at the 8800gt. It has a nice sweet spot for price vs performance right now.

You can save money with this ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145184

If so than, all I'd say is change motherboard to Standard Asus P5K.

Get the 2Gb Ram I linked.

Get the 320GB HDD I linked.

For the monitor, and a gaming system, I think you should look for something with a lower response time. Under 5ms I believe. Hopefully someone else can comment on that.

For the HD, I think the ES version is designed for servers. Look at the 7200.10 or 7200.11 series.

And check out this PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371002 That should give you a bit more headroom for when you upgrade. Hopefully someone else can verify that it's good to go. (Cheaper after rebate too)

I don't know much about monitors so I can't comment on that, but I'd say 17" is a bit small . How about this?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009094
That 22" widescreen is a REALLY good deal. It's also got 5Ms response time, and I think since you're at around $900 right now, 5" more for $100 is really really good. The $50 off sale for the 22" ends on Tuesday so you better order it soon.

Yea and for the HDD I reccommended for you.. my bad.. Get this instead... $85, 10 bucks cheaper.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148140

Yep that unit that shadow linked will do very good for your PSU.

All ya gotta do now is change your PSU to the Antec shadow linked. [For more room when you upgrade your video card down the road]
Change the HDD to the "new" one I linked.. Sorry bout that .
Keep the 17" or Change to the 22" I linked.

Then your good to go .
