Unhappy Power LED pins...

I have a slight problem. I know this is distinctly between my MB and Case, as I have tested each other object, including my case's lights and fan.

MB: Asus P5N32-E SLI
Case: CM 690

As I said, there seems to be some sort of connection error between my case and MB, as when I plug the buttons to the case itself, I hit power and it boots up for less than a second, the blue light turning on real quick, and the fans starting to spin. Like I said, it only does this for about half a second.

However, I THINK I may know what the problem is.

On the system Panel [20-8 pin panel] There is a pin location issue.

The MB's pins stick out like this:

1-1---1111
11---11-11

Now the problem I have is those first two pins [The ones with a space between them]

These are for PLED, the left one + and the right one -

My case's PLED connector has these two bunched together in a little plastic rectangle that says "Power LED"

THe only problem, is that they aren't spaced, so they can't actually plug in.

Is there a way to remove this little plastic box and connect them individually?
Is this my problem?
If so, and I can't do them individually, what do I do? Help..?

Welcome to PCMech.

I don't think your power LED is going to be the cause of your system not booting correctly. You most likely have another issue. Let's get the system going before worrying about pins.

What are your full system specs?

Do you have all of the power connections in place? This is the 24pin ATX power and the separate 4pin connection.

If those are in place, you'll need to do our out of the case procedure here: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=132409 to eliminate the possibility of a short.

Alaron is right...the PLED connection is not causing your computer to shutdown after a second, you have another problem somewhere. Either the heatsink isn't installed properly, the power supply is faulty or another component is faulty.

Please list the complete specs for this computer. We need to know the make and model of each part including the power supply.
