Reformatting hard drive

Gday Boys, ive just installed a fresh copy of windows xp onto a brand new hard drive which is 320gb, i created a 50gb partition for c drive which is a primary partition, Now i want to partition the rest of my hard drive, the remaining 250 gb into 3 other drives say 50gb 100gb 100gb, i just wanna make sure what im gonna do is correct

Through the administration tool in windows im about to create the next partitions, but cant remember what to do, its asking to do a primary or a extended, my first 50gb is a primary, do i make the other 3 primary as well or as a extended partition?

Thx boys

Since the first 50GB is already your primary partition I'd make the rest of the hard drive the extended partition and then create as many logical drives in it as you want.

You *can* make it a primary, but that is typically used for booting an OS from and not needed for adding more logical drives. I would go extended and then chop it up with logical drives.
