new computer Build help

My computer recently went broke after six years of work; so instead of wasting time trying to fix it, I am getting a new one.
The budget is around 900~

I will need it for gaming to play games like COD 4 and operate large databases of stuff

SO far I am pretty sure about the case, motherboard and processor and unsure about 3d card.

The processor is:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz LGA 775 Processor 190$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115029

Motherboard:

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard 97$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128059

ram:

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) 75$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146565

hard drive:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive 85$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148140

CASE:

Antec Sonata III Black 0.8mm 500W Power Supply 130$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129024

DVD BURNER:

LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner 30$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106226

I am undecided on the video card:
i need to purchase the parts asap and a lot of video cards are unavailable at new egg ):

I was thinking either this

XFXGeForce 7950GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 190$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150197

or

DIAMOND 3870PE4512SB Radeon HD 3870 512MB 256-bit GDDR4 240$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814103050

Thank you for any advice and suggestions

I would get the 3870 instead of the 7950.

Don't forget an OS.

Upto you it's whether you like the look and reviews of Vista.

I think most people are making the switchover but it's really upto you..

ty, will switch dvd burners right away

About the video card it seems DIAMOND 3870 is no longer available for purchase at newegg for some reason. Does anyone have any other suggestions for a video card?

Edit:
Since i could not find anything on newegg.com

I found these two video cards on amazon.com

eVGA e-GeForce 8800 GT Superclocked Edition 512MB DDR3 for 310$

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...BZJQ6&v=glance

and the previous

Radeon HD 3870 HDMI Dual DL-DVI (HDCP) 512MB (256bit) GDDR4 PCI Express for 215$

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000YFY1EM/...M&linkCode=asn

Should I purchase from amazon? Is it reputable enough? Or is theer a similar video card on newegg which i can purchase instead? I would really like to purchase pc parts tonight or tomorow.

thank you

Some other sites you might wan t to check are mwave.com and zipzoomfly.com.

Out of the 8800gt and the 3870, I believe the 8800gt is superior. Check out this: http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/12/...graphics_card/

Amazon never gave me any problems when I ordered from them, but that was years ago and I never ordered electronics and such. They should be alright to buy that though.
