New Build Problem

I Just finished my first build:

Case - Silverstone GD01mx
Mobo - Asus P5K3 Deluxe
PSU - Antec 850 watt
2gig ddr 3

It was installing Vista and must of shut down. Now it keeps turning off and also it gives an error message of missing bootmgr.

Any one familiar with this.

Thanx

Is this a legitimate copy of the operating system? Does this happen only when you are installing the OS?

Also, please do not press submit multiple times - I deleted your duplicate threads.

It doesn't seem to be turning off anymore, but I still keep getting the error msg. It's an oem version of Vista 64 bit. Seems legit to me.

Where in the setup does it turn off?

Are you still getting an error message?

After it turns off, does it restart, and if so what happens then?

It shuts off during the second part of the install, when it's copying the files, and it doesn't restart. I'm getting the error message, but i reformatted the drive.

It's actually shutting off during the expanding files section of the Vista installation. I tried the out of the case install and it gave me no problems. I removed the power supply to the video card and used the pci-e power plug from the psu, instead of how i had it. And it's still doing it?

Test your RAM with Memtest86+. Test the sticks one at a time.

Make sure you aren't overclocking.
