here's what I have:
CPU: E6850 MB: Intel - DX38BT HD: Seagate ST3320620AS 320GB Video Card: Visiontek HD 3850 Memory: Corsair XMS DDR3 (2 x 1GB) 1066Mhz CD/DVD Writer: Plextor PX-810SA PSU: Antec TruePower Trio TP3-650 650W Couple Problems: First, turn it on, the computer runs for about 30 seconds then stop, for about 5 to 10 seconds, then turns back on again, all by itself. All the while, nothing displays on the monitor. Second, there's no beep codes, nothing to indicated something is wrong with the system. So, how do I go about enable the audio? the speaker is on board, and there's no connection on board to connect the speaker wires. Third, there's a auxiliary power connect on the motherboard in order to use for the PCI-e video card (it's a 1 x 4 power connect), but there's no connector like that with the PSU that I have, so would you guys know if I could get an adaptor or something like that? Here is the link for the schematic of the board: http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/dx38bt/sb/dx38bt_configlabel.pdf (sorry, for some reason, I could not make a hyperlink for that site). I have tried to reseat the memory, the cpu. Would try to do it out of the box next, but I want to wait to see what you guys have to say here. Don't want to take an unneccesary chances for ESD and ruin everything. Anyway, please help, I really need to have this one up and running because I have final exams next week, and I have a lot of catching up to do because I am without a computer right now. And yes I know, I dropped the ball on the set up itself, I could have save myself some money if I had used some other components, guess I didn't do my homework as well as I should have (well, live and learn, right)? Thank you guys.

That 4x1 connector down the bottom is a standard Molex connector, your PSU should have these. Other than that you can't do much else ATM except the out of case throubleshooter.

I recently installed a Antec trio 650 with an 8600 Gts and it did have a the connector for a Vid card, check those again. If you are pulling pwr from that MB surely that is not good, not for a card of that size. Good luck

Do the out-of-case-troubleshooter without any drives connected and let us know what happens.
If the video card needs additional power make sure you plug the PCI-Express power in too. Cricket

Your Antec trio has 2 6-pin PCI-e pwr connectors, one of those connects to the HD 3850 that is your pwr connection. "Third, there's a auxiliary power connect on the motherboard in order to use for the PCI-e video card (it's a 1 x 4 power connect), but there's no connector like that with the PSU that I have, so would you guys know if I could get an adaptor or something like that? " I thought you may have been trying to pwr the 3850 from the MB. |

tried out of the case troubleshooting, still nothing, no beed codes. I believe the Mobo is DOA. Talked to Intel tech support, they believe that would also be the case. I am going to RA it, and try again with the new mobo. Thanks for all your help

I don't know what you mean by "the molex connector has been phased out". Liambl.
In any case, I RAed the mobo already, so, for now, just waiting to hear back from them. |

And your PSU doesn't have that Molex plug?
